Help stop the spread of Norovirus, the vomiting bug
Posted on:
Norovirus is continuing to pile pressure on NHS hospitals with over 40,000 bed days lost to the vomiting bug in February alone.
Do not visit the GP practice if you have symptoms of norovirus. Please call to re-arrange nurse appointments and if you need to speak to a doctor, please book a telephone consultation.
To help stop the spread of norovirus it is important to remember to wash your hands frequently with soap and water, clean surfaces with bleach-based products where possible, and if you’re unwell to avoid mixing with other people until you have not had symptoms for two days.
Alcohol gels do not kill norovirus.
