New Fast Track Clinic at Marcham Road Family Health Centre

A new Fast Track Clinic is now available at your Health Centre.

When you telephone to make an appointment, the doctor may offer you an appointment in the Fast Track Clinic. This runs each day in one of the treatment rooms and is led by a specially trained nurse. If you would prefer to be seen by a doctor, rather than attending the Fast Track Clinic, a suitable appointment will be made for you.

The aim of the Fast Track Clinic is to:

  • Shorten waiting times for appointments
  • Reduce trips to Accident and Emergency Departments and Minor Injuries Units
  • Make better use of the skills of nurses and pharmacists
  • Enable doctors to manage more complex or serious problems
  • Promote self-care

If necessary, a prescription can be provided for you in the clinic and arrangement can be made for you to see a Doctor during your appointment.

  • Children under the age of 1
  • Conditions that have already been seen by a doctor
  • Conditions that have been present for more than 3 weeks
