The purpose of a Patient Participation Group (PPG) is to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided by their practice.
We aim to promote the proactive engagement of patients through the use of our Patient Participation Group and seek the views of practice patients through direct communication and local practice survey. The outcomes of this engagement and the views of our patients can be used to improve the services provided by the practice.
As part of this group you will either be a ‘Face to Face’ or ‘E-Community’ member.
The Face to Face group meet regularly to discuss the views, ideas and suggestions of our patients about all aspects of the services provided by the practice. From this the PPG and the practice agree areas of priority in order to implement improvements within those services. The Face to Face group are also involved in managing and analysing practice surveys.
The E-Community is made up of patients willing to provide their personal e-mail address to the Chairman in order that they can be contacted for their views, ideas and suggestions about the provision of services at the Health Centre.
